The BLE$$ED LIFE

Money can be a sticky subject for many people because it feels personal and oftentimes private. Yet, Jesus talked a lot about money. He knew that money showed our priorities and points to what we love most. Jesus doesn’t want us to get hung up or distracted by money. He taught practical ways that we can experience freedom, joy, and the blessing of God through our financial resources. In this series, we will explore God’s guidance for our money.

Questions for Discussion

1. What is one thing that you wish you could have but you’re not sure you’ll ever be able to get?
2. If we did an analysis on your personal finances, what would we find? What would appear to be some of your priorities, habits, dreams, struggles, and desires?
3. Read Mark 10:17-27. What lesson(s) is Jesus teaching in this story? If you had to place yourself in this story, where would you be? Is there anything in your life that’s holding you back from fully surrendering to Jesus?
4. Sacrifice leads to Freedom. How does Jesus show us this? How have you seen this in your own life?
5. What can you give back to God as an expression of gratitude for what he sacrificed to set you free?
6. Pray together. Pray for our nation and all those who have sacrificed for our freedoms. Pray for the ways that you want to experience freedom personally. Pray for each other.
